Plenty of Forest fans seem impressed with Yuri Ribeiro and Tiago Silva
Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been full of praise for both Yuri Ribeiro and Tiago Silva after their 1-0 win against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
A Portuguese Twitter user by the name of Alex Goncalves asked supporters for an update on how his two fellow countrymen had gotten on against Fleetwood and if the responses are anything to go by, both players had brilliant outings.
Silva scored the only goal of the game, while Ribeiro helped Forest keep a clean sheet on his debut.
The left-back played an important part at the back as the Reds only managed a narrow victory.
Supporters were more than happy to compliment both Portuguese players for their good showing in the cup.
One fan stated that he was impressed with Ribeiro as he got up and down the wing very well, while another supporter gave Silva credit for a good finish.
Yuri was bright as a button. Up and down the wing all night. Didn’t get tested too much defensively.
Tiago was similar again. Flashes of brilliance, but will need time to settle in I feel.

Understandably, more was made about Silva’s performance than Ribeiro’s as he scored the only goal of the game and had more of an effect going forward.
The City Ground faithful clearly liked what they saw from their new signing.
Thiago is good at receiving and keeping possession in tight areas. He gets fouled often, which shows what a threat he is. His set pieces are very good, much better than we’ve seen in the past few years. He works hard and likes a tackle.
