Should Forest sign Fernando Llorente? – Here’s what some fans think
Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been reacting to the suggestion that they should sign Fernando Llorente after his Tottenham Hotspur contract expired.
The Spaniard left the London club at the end of last season, and although he didn’t have the most fruitful of times as a Tottenham player, we shouldn’t forget his accomplishments before he joined Spurs.
He netted 15 Premier League goals in a single season during his time at Swansea, and he also hit 16during one season at Juventus.
Of course, he is now 34 years old – but the drop in level from the Premier League to the Championship could mean he is still a useful player in that division.
Forest’s attacking options are also very limited. Lewis Grabban is a starting striker, but beyond that, they’d have to look at Daryl Murphy, who has been told he can leave, and Rafa Mir who lacks experience.
Signing a man who has played in two Champions League finals would undoubtedly strengthen the Reds’ frontline, and a number of Forest fans certainly agree.
Many supporters stated that they want to see the Spaniard at the City Ground.

Although he could be a quality addition, a number of fans stated that wages would be a huge concern as he was reportedly earning £75,000 a week at Spurs.https://twitter.com/jmetrcktt/status/1160964905253703682
Definitely wages might be a big issue though

Of course but if we can't afford jack colback wages I would assume not a realistic target

One Twitter user couldn’t really get on board with the transfer suggestion as he simply laughed it off.
