Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been firing back after a number of Leeds fans have been complaining about the manner of their draw at the weekend.

The chief complaint from the Elland Road faithful was that the referee had a bad game.

Whites supporters certainly believe that they should have been awarded at least one penalty, but one fan said that the Yorkshire club should have had three spot-kicks.

Instead, these decisions weren’t ruled in Leeds’ favour, and the Reds managed to salvage a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

It’s hard to argue that United didn’t deserve more than a point from this game. They dominated the possession with 68 per cent, and they also had 15 shots.

Forest fans are seemingly well aware that they’ve gotten away with one here as one supporter stated that the furious response from Leeds fans made the result even sweeter, while another laughed at the United supporters’ outrage.

Other members of the fanbase claimed that it served them right as the same fixture last year was shrouded in controversy as Kemar Roofe scored a goal which was clearly handball.

A couple of supporters stated that karma was at work, while another said that it was very hypocritical for United fans to be complaining after last year’s match.
