These Forest fans are buzzing after the arrival of Carl Jenkinson
Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter are buzzing after the club announced the signing of Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal on a three-year deal.
It was previously suggested that the 27-year-old would be arriving at the City Ground on loan, but the right-back has, in fact, joined the East Midlands club on a permanent deal.
The right-back played 70 times for Arsenal during his eight years at the club.
He has recently played in the Championship with Birmingham City, but based on the way Blues fans talk about him, that spell wasn’t too successful.
He’s also spent time out on loan in the Premier League with West Ham United, and in 2012 his good form at the Gunners earnt him an England cap.
Jenkinson clearly has enough talent to be a handy player in this division as he was once considered good enough to play for the Three Lions.
A number of Forest fans praised their club for this signing.
Good signing something we desperately needed just need to sign another goalkeeper as we are short in that area ? #NFFC

Other fans weren’t too fixated on the fact they’ve just signed a former England international as they were more overjoyed by the news that their team have finally brought in a right-back.
With Tendayi Darikwa picking up a rather serious injury, Forest were short in that position, but now Jenkinson can slot in rather than playing Matty Cash out of position.
Need a right back. Sign a right back. #nffc

I’m very happy with the Jenkinson signing, we needed a right back and we’ve signed someone who’s probably going to be one of the best in the league once he gets going. I still think we need another striker and a box to box midfielder but there’s still time. #NFFC

#nffc We're signing so many goalkeepers no one will be able to get past us ?
Oh and we got a Right Back! There must have been one hell of a shooting star somewhere.
