According to the news outlet SDNA, Greek side, Atromitos F.C are looking to play Forest at the Peristeri Stadium on July 13th for a pre-season friendly in order to prepare for the season ahead.

Atromitos Football Club, also simply known as Atromitos, is a club based in Peristeri, Athens that plays in the Super League. It was founded in 1923 and it’s home ground is Peristeri Stadium. The Greek media state:

The Peristeri team will have to give a strong test shortly before starting their obligations in the Europa League qualifiers and according to is in discussions with Nottingham Forest, which is expected to face Olympiakos in the middle of July in G. Karaiskakis.

This means that Forest will not only play Atromitos but Olympiacos in the month of July. Martin O’Neill will have a short break after the season ends as squad renovations will take place as he wants to bring in his own players leaving some Forest players no choice but to leave.

After squad renovations happen, O’Neill will be looking to play a few pre-season friendlies in order to get his squad in shape for the 2019/20 season that lies ahead. As already stated two of the clubs to face Forest this summer could already be lined up with Atromitos and Olympiacos in contention to fight the Reds in July.

Greek outfit Olympiacos would be more likely to happen since Evangelos Marinakis owns the two clubs.

Only time will tell whom they will face in the summer as the season comes to an end with Forest inevitably in a high mid-table finish.
